Is Katie Couric's late husband dialing 911 in the middle of the night?

2/14/2013

Katie Couric isn't getting "swatted" like some other celebrities, except perhaps emotionally. The TV host is a little freaked out because police keep having to respond to 911 calls that seem to be coming from her home in the wee hours, whether she's in or not. Weirdly enough, it happens every Tuesday at 2 a.m. Weirder still, the line remains registered in the name of her late husband, Jay Monahan, who died of colon cancer in 1998 — meaning the pranker may not even know it's Couric they're targeting. Now Couric's called the cops herself, but not just any cop: She went straight to NYPD commissioner Raymond Kelly. Just like the average citizen plagued by pranksters would do. [Source]
