Nobody wanted to see Katie Holmes' Broadway play

12/28/2012

Katie Holmes’ new play is kaput. The producers of "Dead Accounts" announced the play will end its run at The Music Box Theatre on Jan. 6, seven weeks ahead of schedule. The show received a kicking from the reviewers, dubbed "a limp chain of anti-climaxes" by the New York Times. Holmes herself was called "insanely miscast" by New York Magazine. But let's not put the blame solely on Holmes. These are tough times for Broadway, and "Dead Accounts" lasted longer than David Mamet's recently shuttered "The Anarchist," starring Patti LuPone and Debra Winger. [Source]
