6/7/2012Coffee fiends are laughing all the way to their third cup. First there was the good news that drinking coffee helps you live longer, now they can relish their caffeine hit knowing that doing so may delay the onset of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers from the University of South Florida and the University of Miami found that a higher caffeine consumption can delay Alzheimer's even in older adults who already have mild cognitive impairment. Researchers said coffee intake should be moderate - about three cups a day - to be effective, and added it won't save someone from Alzheimer's, but instead, lowers the risk. Drink up!
