Woman outraged after flight attendant wrongly assumes she's pregnant

10/9/2012

Another reminder to never say the "P" word to a woman until after she confirms she has a human growing inside her. Kelsey Hughes, 21, says she was "absolutely humiliated" in front of other passengers when a Jetstar flight attendant approached her before boarding a flight in New Zealand and asked her to produce a medical certificate to say she could fly while pregnant. The airline requires women who are more than 28 weeks pregnant to produce such a document. However, Hughes is not pregnant and says that, at 154 lbs., "I don't look eight weeks pregnant, let alone 28 weeks." Jetstar have since apologized for the faux pas. [Source
