'Kentucky Kicks Ass': Duo starts viral campaign for new state slogan

You knew Kentucky was cool – bourbon, horses, and Hunter S. Thompson. (Not to mention the occasional wife-swapping sports fan or Chinese roadkill cafe). But did you know it was ass-kicking cool? Griffin VanMeter and Whit Hiler work for different advertising firms but have united with another friend to form Kentucky for Kentucky, a viral Facebook page and web campaign dedicated to rebranding the Bluegrass State with a hipper edge. They're currently on a push to get their slogan -- "Kentucky Kicks Ass" – to replace the boring "Unbridled Spirit." So far, no luck with state officials, but we have a feeling these guys aren't giving up any time soon.
