Thanks to an appearance on the PBS genealogy-fest "Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates, Jr.," the actor learned that he's related to Kyra Sedgwick, his wife of 23 years. Sedgwick told Dave Letterman they are "tenth cousins, once removed," admitting, "It was a little upsetting, we're not going to lie." Show host Gates says that celebs who appear on the show can't re-bury any creepy discoveries under their family trees. "Whatever we find," he told W.E.N.N, "we try to boil it down to three or four narrative arcs. Or two, in Bacon's case: "Before I realized I'd been sleeping with my cousin" and "After that."
