Skydiver roughs up Sprint Cup car before other drivers can
11/5/2012Hey, another NASCAR crash, what do you know? And, surprise, Danica Patrick wasn't involved. Nor were any other drivers — or any other cars, for that matter. In what has to be an auto-racing first, Kevin Harvick's ride in Sunday's Sprint Cup event at Texas Motor Speedway was wrinkled when a skydiver parachuting in with the Lone Star flag thumped the side of the car with the trailing sandbag. Everyone seemed to be getting a chuckle out of it: the parachutist even posed for cameras with the dent that marred the No. 29. Still, it can't be a good omen for Harvick to get wrecked before the race starts.
