Kid greets cops looking for hooker, tests positive for coke
4/21/2012When Jacksonville police officers responded to a complaint of suspected prostitution at the Candlewood Suites Hotel, they couldn't have expected to see a 4-year-old at the door. "Hi, policeman," the boy reportedly said. The officers found two men in the marijuana-scented room, and one allegedly told the officer that the room was where the boy's mother had been "conducting prostitution." While the men got their stories straight, the boy found crack-cocaine on the carpet, which officers stopped him from eating. But, to add one more layer of tragedy to this story, the child himself tested positive for the drug. He has been placed in foster care; the authorities have not identified his mother.
Should the boy's mother ever regain custody?
