Kid with start-up, iffy morals, squats at AOL for two months
5/27/2012Some of the more essential qualities an entrepreneur must possess are guts and resourcefulness, and by those measures 20-year-old aspiring tech entrepreneur Eric Simons has a bright future. The Chicago native was recently busted for squatting at the AOL offices in Palo Alto, Calif., where he'd been working on his start-up, eating company food, using their fitness facility and sleeping on couches for two months. Employees at the crowded, hectic campus apparently just assumed he was a new employee with a strong work ethic. After attending a four-month education program at the AOL headquarters, Simons, 19-years-old at the time, didn't return his security badges and, having already established himself as a familiar face, simply never left.
