'Terrorist' 5-year-old girl suspended for bubble gun 'threat'
1/21/2013Administrators of Mount Carmel Area Elementary School, Pa., are taking flak after suspending a kindergarten student for "threatening" a classmate with a Hello Kitty fully automatic bubble gun. She did not even have the "weapon" on her, but her suggestion that she and a friend find some time in their booger-eating schedule to shoot each other with bubbles was deemed by the school to be a "terrorist threat." The suspension was reduced from 10 days to two (she must have eaten all her broccoli), but the 5-year-old was forced to undergo a psych evaluation, which found the little girl was normal and not a threat to others. The family is planning to sue to have the incident removed from their girl's record. [Source]
