Tiny kitten found hitching a 6-hour ride on top of car's gas tank
9/4/2012Apparently you’re never too young (or too furry) to get bitten by the travel bug. Today comes news that a kitten, estimated to be about six weeks old, was found curled up in a tiny alcove atop a car’s gas tank, following a six-hour ride from Connecticut to western New York. The couple who own the car brought the vehicle in to be serviced after hearing the cat purring from inside. Auto workers rescued the little critter, who was believed to be feral, and the flea-ridden feline is now being treated at a shelter, where she will eventually be spayed and prepared for potential adoption.
