Kobe Bryant joins Twitter (finally) but don't expect him to follow you
1/5/2013There was the false start last year, when Kobe Bryant opened a Twitter account that attracted 35,000 followers in an hour. But then he stomped on the brakes and deleted it. (Real nice, Kobe.) Then last week he took the keys to Nike Basketball's Twitter account and went for a test drive — and things must have gone well. Bryant took the on-ramp to the social media freeway in earnest Friday, inaugurating his new forum with a single tweet: "The antisocial has become social #mambatweets." Within four hours, the Lakers star had lured more than 250,000 followers to sign up for what will likely be infrequent yet maddeningly over-retweeted thoughts. Who's Kobe following?
