Kobe Bryant out indefinitely with 'severe' ankle sprain
3/14/2013The Los Angeles Lakers' playoff hopes seemed less certain Wednesday night after star player Kobe Bryant severely sprained his left ankle in the closing seconds of a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. After missing a game-tying shot, Bryant's left foot landed on defender Dahntay Jones' right foot and twisted as he fell to the court. He hobbled to the bench with the trainer's help. Lakers spokesman John Black said the sprain puts Bryant out "indefinitely." Bryant blamed the injury on Jones sliding underneath him as he went up for the shot. "I can't get my mind past the fact that I have to wait a year to get revenge," he complained. [Source]
