1/13/2013

After less than a month as the world's oldest woman, Koto Okubo died on Saturday at 115. Okubo lived at a nursing home in Kawasaki City, Japan. She inherited the title from Dina Manfredini of the United States, who only held the title only two weeks she died in December. The world’s oldest woman is now Misawo Okawa, who will turn 115 in March. Okawa also lives in Japan, as does the current world’s oldest man, 115 year-old Jiroemon Kimura.
