Kraft sends woman apology, $1 for worm in macaroni
6/17/2012If you thought Kraft dinners couldn't get any less edible, note the case of Nalini Marquez, who says she found a worm in her box of mac and cheese last week. According to Marquez, her teen daughter was pouring a box of the noodles into a pot of water when she spotted a worm floating in the liquid and screamed. When Marquez called Kraft Canada to complain, the company sent her a letter and reimbursement for the cost of the noodles: a check for $1. Marquez said she felt like the company was laughing at her. However, a Kraft spokeswoman noted the company can't track what happens after boxes leave the warehouse and the compensation policy is to reimburse customers for the product.
