Teen who survived Ore. mall shooting had cheated death months earlier
12/12/2012A 15-year-old Oregon girl injured when a gunman fired at shoppers at a Portland mall on Tuesday has seemingly cheated death for the second time in months. Kristina Shevchenko was walking with a friend through Clackamas Town Center when she was shot by an unnamed gunman, who killed two others before turning the gun on himself. Shevchenko was rushed to the hospital and remains in stable condition after undergoing surgery. According to a family statement, the Shevchenko family, including Kristina, survived a fatal head-on car collision a few months ago. [Source]
