Police officer closes highway to save tiny dog stuck in traffic2/18/2013
Police officer Kyle Jones was definitely in the right place at the right time, at least from one rat terrier's perspective. Cujo had escaped from his owner's La Porte, Texas, home on Feb. 11, limping with his bad hip until he became stranded in the middle of a busy highway. Jones was driving in the opposite direction when he spotted the tiny dog and realized that this story likely would not have a happy ending. He turned around, flipped his lights on and immediately stopped traffic. "He kind of looked at me and said, 'Man, I'm glad you're here,'" Jones said of the dog. "He let me pick him right up." Lucky Cujo was also wearing an ID tag and was reunited with his relieved family later that night. [Source]
