'Lakers have pooped their big-boy pants' is the new NBA catch phrase

Oh, the shame of being the Los Angeles Lakers these days. Despite loading up on expensive stars in the off-season, they're off to an 8-10 start, and center Pau Gasol has been grumbling about a diminishing role. Teammate Kobe Bryant chided him to "put your big-boy pants on," but instead Gasol sat out the entire game against Houston with tendinitis and Kobe couldn't stop the Rockets from rallying to win from 13 points down in the fourth quarter. That sent broadcaster Craig Ackerman into a dither, with an obviously rehearsed takeoff of Kobe's comment. Sounds as if Ackerman may have soiled himself in the process.
