Thanks to a poll released this week, we now know that seven of the world's 10 countries with the most positive attitudes are in the Latin American region. The Gallup poll asked approximately 1,000 people around the world if they were well-rested, treated with respect, smiled or laughed regularly, learned or did something interesting and felt feelings of enjoyment. Some 85 percent of those polled in Panama and Paraguay responded positively to all five, finishing ahead of people in El Salvador, Venezuela and Ecuador. The United States finished 33rd.
