Woman says massage center told her she was too fat for their tables
2/20/2013Laura Smith knew she’d be sore after finishing a half marathon, so she booked a massage for the day after. But instead of relaxing on the massage table, she was told that she was too fat for it. The 250-pound Colorado woman says that she got an embarrassing smackdown at the Natural Healing Center. "The doctor said, 'I'm sorry, but you are too fat for our table. You’ll probably break it and you’ll have to pay for it,'" Smith recalled. The Center’s owner said that she told Smith she was too LARGE, not too fat, and was concerned because a 165-pound man had broken one of her tables once. Sounds like she could use better social skills ... and better equipment. [Source]
