Restaurant reversal: Server stiffs family for nasty remark
1/19/2013For all the tales about surly servers, not all restaurants have rude waitstaff. Take Laurenzo’s in Houston. It was there that Kim Costello and her family dined recently. Costello noticed that a family had asked to be moved to a table away from her party. What she didn’t know was that it was on account of her 5-year-old son, Milo, who has Down syndrome. The family apparently told a server that “special needs kids should be kept in special places.” The offended server refused to serve the awful family, and they gave Costello dirty looks on their way out the door. Another reason why you should always tip well. [Source]
