Lawmaker who says gays are a danger to kids injures kids in boat crash
8/25/2012Maryland delegate Don H. Dwyer Jr., a man so breathtakingly homophobic that he once tried to prosecute public officials who supported gay marriage, had a blood alcohol level of 0.2 -- more than twice the legal limit -- when he careened into a boat with five children and two adults. Four children were injured, one seriously enough to require a helicopter evacuation to a hospital. Dwyer contends that same-sex marriage could lead to yucky homosexuality being taught in schools, endangering children. Before the collision, the Tea Party Republican had been enjoying a nice, quiet day of privately getting sloppy drunk with another man on his boat on the Magothy River. Not that there's anything wrong with that. [Source]
