Republican Party is 'full of racists,' claims ex-Colin Powell staffer

"My party is full of racists," said Colin Powell's former chief of staff on MSNBC last night. Lawrence Wilkerson was responding to a claim that Powell only endorsed the president because both men are black, made by Romney campaign surrogate John Sununu. Wilkerson said that the anger directed at Obama from "a considerable portion" of the GOP has "nothing to do with his competence as commander-in-chief and president, and everything to do with the color of his skin." He then branded that attitude "despicable." [Source]
