Lawyer for Trayvon's shooter invents 'Shaken Baby' defense
4/7/2012The Trayvon Martin case, already a divisive issue, took a strange turn today when one of the lawyers for George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed the unarmed teen, appeared on CBS to reiterate the claim that his client shot Martin in self-defense after he was attacked. But the words Hal Uhrig used are sure to lead to plenty more controversy. Said Uhrig: "We're familiar with the Shaken Baby Syndrome. You shake a baby; the brain shakes around inside the skull. You can die when someone's pounding your head into the ground." Uhrig did not elaborate on any injuries Zimmerman suffered, but maintained his client's innocence: "He didn't commit any crime."
Do you believe the lawyer's claim?
