1/23/2013Truly it is laziness, not necessity, that is the mother of invention. If it wasn't for our deep desire to do nothing, where would we be? Crouching around in caves and running away from hungry dinosaurs, that's where. Would the Wright brothers have mastered flight if they were just as happy walking? Nope. And you can be sure the inventors of TV, couches and electric toothbrushes didn't have our greatest achievers in mind. So don't judge these masters of the inert arts, for they are pioneers — and our bright, pudgy, slack-ass futures rest with them.
