Lee Harvey Oswald's home demolished (lone bulldozer theory fits facts)
1/16/2013Dallas authorities have demolished this apartment building where Lee Harvey Oswald lived a few months before the assassination of JFK. Ghoulish souvenir-hunters took bricks from this dilapidated building at 600 Elsbeth Street, pictured in the gallery above. Oswald-related objects apparently still intrigue, half a century after the assassination. The owner bought the building in 2007 and had hoped to renovate it, but the city deemed it a blight and an asbestos risk, so called in the bulldozers. It’s not clear in which direction the building fell, but we hope it was ‘back… and to the left... back… and to the left’. [Source]

Should we preseve buildings like this, or is it better to move on?
