Lego makes a boy's dream come true, brings a tear to our eye

11/30/2012

Two years ago, a boy named James Groccia set his heart on Lego's Emerald Night Train set. He kept every bit of his allowance and birthday money until earlier this year, at the age of 10, he'd finally saved up the $100 to buy it. But disaster struck: Lego had discontinued the Emerald Night, and it was only available via collectors' sites for $250. Initially, the company told him they didn't — but in October a box arrived on James's front door, and you can guess what was inside. Skip to the 1:15 mark in this video to see James's reaction when he finally lays hands on the Emerald Night.
