1/19/2013Too soon? We applaud the moxie of the Class-A San Jose Giants, who will pay their respects to the most famous dead girl who never lived. On April 12, fans can join the minor league baseball team for Lennay Kekua Night, honoring the fake girlfriend of Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o. Ticket-holders can bring real or imaginary significant others for free. Fans who dress like Te’o will get free tickets to a future game, as will all Stanford students — who are still mourning the fictional Stanford alumna. On the menu? Catfish, of course. The best part? An auction will be held to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as the Giants recognize the "serious nature" of a blood cancer diagnosis. [Source]
