Yes, South Korea's Air Force is parodying 'Les Miserables'
2/8/2013If you enjoyed the most recent film adaptation of "Les Miserables," then perhaps you’ll enjoy a few top guns sending up Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and the rest of the film’s big-budget Hollywood cast. The South Korean Air Force is not exactly known for its rich comedic legacy, but some of its members recently filmed an entertaining Les Mis parody titled "Les Militaribles." Members of the 22nd Fighter Wing are shown shoveling snow and, in this 13-minute short, our Jean Valjean wants off this detail to go meet his girlfriend. It’s well-executed, and the performances are strong. Foreign-language honorable mention, we say.
