Liberals more likely to let social media sway their political views
9/6/2012Topics like politics can be tricky to talk about on Facebook, but for people who describe themselves as liberal, a new study shows they're more likely than their conservative counterparts to change their minds on a political issue based on social media. According to a Pew study, not only are liberals more likely to get their news on social media, 24 percent of those liberals surveyed said a social update has caused them to reevaluate their stance on a political topic. But talking politics has its downside: 18 percent of responders also said they'd blocked or unfriended someone who talked about politics too much. [Source]
