Liberals rage over Kansas, Arizona medical proposals
3/11/2012State legislatures in Kansas and Arizona are reviewing legislation aimed at shielding doctors from "wrongful death" lawsuits, but liberal adversaries warn the bills have a more specific goal. They say the proposals are really aimed at shielding doctors who want to stop abortions. Mother Jones says the true intent is to allow "doctors to withhold information about birth defects and other health conditions that might cause [women] to choose an abortion." LifeNews reports the bill will also remove funding for Planned Parenthood in the state. In Kansas, the state legislature is reviewing a similar bill that KWCH says some are calling "the most sweeping anti-abortion bill in the country."
