Tweet wisely: Twitter archive is still alive at Library of Congress
7/20/2012Think your tweet about what you had for lunch today was important enough to be classified as historical material? The Library of Congress does, as their plan to archive EVERY public tweet since Twitter's inception is going forward despite recent rumors. No biggie—that only means gathering a mere 400 million tweets a day, making the total number somewhere in the gazillions. The collection will be made available only to library card holders at the library in Washington DC for internal library use, noncommercial research and preservation. You hear that, Anthony Weiner? Some things will never go away. [Source]
How do you feel about your tweets being archived forever?
