Lil Wayne lyrics criticized by family of murdered boy
2/14/2013Lil Wayne has crossed the line so often, he may not know where the line is anymore, but this time he might've gone too far. Epic Records is scrambling to pull a leaked version of Future's song "Karate Chop," on which Weezy spits an offensive guest verse. His lines reportedly offended the family of Emmitt Till, a 14-year-old African-American boy who was shot and killed in 1955 for "whistling at a white woman." (Wayne's lyric was reportedly "I beat that p***y up like Emmitt Till"). "Out of respect for the legacy of Emmitt Till and his family we are going through great efforts to take down the unauthorized version," Epic said in a statement. [Source]
