Senator vows to block Obama nominations till he gets truth about Libya2/11/2013
Sen. Lindsey Graham is not happy about what happened in Benghazi, and he wants to make sure everyone knows it. Graham says he will block President Obama's top national security appointments until he gets answers. The senator confirmed to CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday that he would block Chuck Hagel and Jim Brennan's nominations until he knows what Obama did after 9 pm on the night the U.S. consulate was attacked. "Did the president ever pick up the phone and call anyone in the Libyan government to help these folks?” Graham asked. The South Carolina senator would likely put holds on the nominations, since he has said he won't employ the time-honored filibuster technique, but since the holds amount to just asking for notification before the vote, it doesn't sound as effective.
