Simba, you're not in Kansas anymore: Lion taken off restaurant menu
8/16/2012If your immediate response when you think of the majestic African lion, king of the savanna and source of one of our best Disney movies, is to rub your belly and think, "Delicious," you're out of luck. A Kansas restaurant has pulled lion from an exotic-game-tasting menu in the wake of online protests. Less-fortunate animals that continue to be served at Wichita’s Taste & See include "kangaroo, Scottish hare, crocodile, alpaca, water buffalo, antelope and foie gras." We don’t think they’ll be taken off anytime soon: None of them had a starring role in "The Lion King." [Source]
