Little League dads fight it out during kids' tournament

7/9/2012

There are two givens about Little League baseball: The weakest player gets exiled to right field, and the kids are going to be better-behaved than the parents. In Columbus, Ga., a couple of brain-dead dads got into it just as medals were about to be handed out after the district tournament championship. The first scuffle was over the volume of the music one dad was playing, and the second was for some remarks about the players. The two men were charged with disorderly conduct; no injuries were reported (if you don't count the blow to sane parenting and the certain embarrassment of their children). Let's find a way to take big people out of Little League.
