Little boy allegedly whipped 25 times by dollar store clerk

A clerk at a Dollar General store in Wrightsville, Ga., is accused of whipping an eight-year-old customer. Charges of battery and aggravated assault have been elevated to cruelty to children after CCTV footage showed she allegedly whipped the boy at least 25 times with her belt. The thrashing is said to have occurred two days before the little boy's birthday. "She started calling me a demon," said the child, Logan Ivey. "I said, 'I'll show you bad,' and I picked up a cookie and threw it at her. So then she… takes me behind the counter and starts beating me." The clerk, Emilia Bell, 39, has been released on bail.
