After accidentally driving into ditch, police find lost toddler

After a two-year-old girl wandered barefoot from her country home in snowbound central Sweden, police commenced an extensive search for the missing toddler. There was no need for their police dogs and helicopter, however, thanks to two officers who accidentally swerved off the road and into a ditch three hours after the child went missing. As the officers tried to extract their vehicle, they heard crying nearby and lo and behold, there was the little runaway. The officers had to wade through waist-deep snow to reach the little girl, who was more than a mile away from home. Other than being "frozen and sad," she was OK, said police. [Source]
