Diver finds wallet in lake, returns it to man who lost it 15 years ago
7/25/2012Don Golightly could hardly believe his eyes when two young men showed up at his home and handed him a worn out piece of fabric. It was his wallet — the one he had lost 15 years before in Utah’s Flaming Gorge Reservoir, 200 miles from home. Complete with a few soggy bills and rusty old coins, the wallet was recovered by a scuba diver who spotted it sticking out of the sand 30 feet below the surface. The diver, who posted photos of their meeting on the social news site Reddit, used the expired driver’s license in the wallet to track down Golightly — who lives less than a mile away from him.
