Lowlifes rig trail with Hunger Games-style booby traps

Nothing says fun like booby-trapping and possibly killing a few hikers. A military-trained forest service officer in Provo Canyon, Utah, was making his rounds when he discovered several devices rigged up to cause maximum damage to hikers. The Hunger Games-style implements of destruction are reminiscent of medieval torture instruments: spikes fashioned into swinging balls on a hair trigger, and sharpened stakes pointing up out of the earth. The perpetrators, who apparently did it just for kicks, set up the traps in a popular family spot called The Fort. Tech savvy deputies ID'ed the boys through Facebook. The 21-year-old and 19-year-old have confessed and been booked on reckless endangerment charges.
