Dad of kid rapper facing child abuse investigation for video
2/26/2013The video for rapper Lil Poopy's “Pop That Remix” is filled with your standard rap video tropes: flashy cars, flashy women, lots of talk about his lavish lifestyle. But Lil Poopy is the nom de rap of 9-year-old Luie Rivera Jr., and after seeing the video, police in Brockton, Mass., asked child welfare officials to investigate the fourth-grader's dad for child abuse. Cops think the video (slightly NSFW), featuring Lil Poopy's references to drug culture, a ballin' lifestyle and sexually suggestive moves are enough to warrant concern about little Luie's welfare. His dad, Luis Rivera, hasn’t been arrested or charged with a crime. Bad parenting? Certainly. Child abuse? Maybe not. [Source]
