Look, lynx! Rare photo of elusive cats sparks viral excitement
1/25/2013Catching one lynx on camera is apparently rare, but catching two? You can imagine the excitement, then, over a photo of a couple of fluffy-looking big cats snapped by a retired National Park Service worker posted this week on the Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Facebook page. (Colorado is in the midst of an ambitious lynx reintroduction program.) The image has unleashed a chorus of "beautiful" and "awesome" comments, not to mention a few "missing lynx" quips. There’s also concern about the animals' proximity to the road. One commenter expressed fear that someone might "purposely run them down." Perish the thought. [Source]
