Kickass scientists tease hoverboard dream using lasers to move magnets
1/1/2013You've already seen Doc's fancy electronic petition come to life with the iPad, as well as the McFlys' virtual telephones via Skype and FaceTime. But, though a dude did build a real-life hoverboard, it could only take up to 5 pounds, leaving our universally drooled-over "Back to the Future Part Two" skateboard a mere fantasy. But it's one that looks a step closer to reality in this viral video, which shows Aoyama Gakuin University researchers moving magnets with light. Cue the "Power of Love" montage! [Source]
