Maintenance workers strike gold while cutting grass
7/13/2012A couple of maintenance workers in the Swiss town of Klingnau struck gold — literally. Behind some bushes — normally a hiding place for old porno mags and impromptu bongs — the pair happened on a mysterious package wrapped in white paper. When they opened it up, the pair uncovered a number of gold ingots (5.5 pounds in total) worth around $126,000. The bars bore no marks and with no reported thefts, police are baffled as to who would discard such a valuable package and why. For now, the police will hold onto the gold, but after five years, if still unclaimed, the workers will be allowed to keep it. [Source]
