Man buys double-decker bus, turns it into awesome house
6/29/2012Daniel Bond, a 28-year-old Englishman, ran into a problem many young potential homeowners encounter -- being priced out. Bond found an inspired solution, buying and renovating an old double-decker bus into house-on-wheels. Bond, a self-employed electrician, wanted to move in with his girlfriend, but couldn't afford to buy a traditional house. Bond bought the house last October, and spent four months and £11,000 ($17,000) to turn the bus into a two-bedroom flat with a kitchen, living room, bar and bathroom. It even has plumbing. Bond hopes to get his driver's license so he and his girlfriend can take a roadtrip to his hometown.
