Man calls dog to testify in court -- yes, drugs are involved
5/26/2012Rodney McGee called an unusual witness in his traffic case, one that was so off-the-wall even he couldn't believe when his four legs walked into the courtroom. Yes, four legs. McGee subpoenaed K9 Officer Azor, in the hopes that the drug dog would ... well, we're not sure. In February, McGee was stopped and cited for failing to use his turn signal, and Azor was called on to sniff for drugs in the car. The dog didn't find anything, so apparently McGee thought they were best friends. He had even planned to "plant marijuana in the courthouse to see if [Azor] could find drugs." The judge didn't go for it, however, and ordered McGee to pay a $300 fine. Way to speak up, Azor.
Why would the judge let this happen?
