Lucky guy falls off cliff, misses Nickelback concert

A young man was lucky enough to tumble down a steep embankment and, in so doing, narrowly avoided seeing Nickelback live in concert. Kevin Beaudette, 22, of Tupper Lake, N.Y., mistakenly thought it would be worth risking life and limb to catch Nickelback at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. According to a spokesperson for the venue, Beaudette slid down a 40-ft drop into the Geyser Brook Gorge while trying to sneak in. Authorities have said he was intoxicated at the time and was only slightly injured in the fall. He was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital and treated for cuts and bruises — nothing compared to the psychological injuries sustained by those who were unfortunate enough to have legitimate tickets to see the show.
