Man hit with $1,000 fine for slapping brat kid in the face

Admit it: You've probably wanted to slap some misbehaving brat at some point. But you've probably never acted on your temptation — what with living in a civilized society and all. Not everyone is as well-mannered as you. Derek Graham Roach, an artist from Perth, Australia, has been fined $1,000 for slapping his 8-year-old neighbor. The boy was one of a gang of punk kids who kept ringing Roach's door then scampering away. Roach yelled at them to "Cut it out," and when they didn't, he chased the children out into the street, grabbed the boy and slapped him "four to five times" across the face. [Source]
