Man honors dead wife with a decade of newspaper tributes
6/28/2012Our tissue box has been depleted. A decade ago, Joe Ingber's wife died at age 68 after battling ovarian cancer. Ingber felt he hadn't done enough during their 40-year marriage to show his love -- so every year since her death, he's honored her in the classifieds.
"I place an ad in the paper twice a year," the 81-year old widower told the Los Angeles Times. "One on her birthday and one on the day she died." He writes different messages every year to show the "true depth of his love for her," which he wishes he had expressed more when she was alive. He wants it on the record that "the feelings are still there."
