Monster's plan to drown dog foiled by hero fisherman
8/10/2012Animal abuse stories make us shout “Who would do that?!”, and this one’s no exception, save for the happy ending. A dog was close to drowning in a creek in Gilroy, Calif., when a man fishing nearby heard her cries. Hector Beltran was horrified to find that the tiny pooch, its head barely above the surface, had two bricks tied to her hind legs, pulling her down into the water. Beltran swiftly plucked her from the creek, releasing her from her anchor, and filed a report with police to help find the monster who tried to drown the four-legged lady. Beltran plans on keeping the pup he’s named River until he can find a good home for her. [Source]
